WHY MISSIONS? One of the ways we fulfill our mission to MAKE HIM KNOWN is through missions. Missions are opportunities to share Christ with words and actions. As we pursue our vision of seeing Gospel transformation in Indian Land and beyond, missions are a critical part of making that dream a reality.
MISSIONS PHILOSOPHY:
- We value missions partners that are intentionally making disciples and prioritize Gospel witness (Mt. 28:18-20)
- We value reaching unreached people with the Gospel (Luke 19:10) *There are 2.5 Billion people who have never heard the name of Jesus (1 out of 3 in the world today)
- We believe our missions work should be centrifugal–moving from local (Lancaster County) to regional (Greater Charlotte) to global (Acts 1:8)
- We want our Gospel witness to be accompanied by compassion ministry to the poor and vulnerable. (Mt. 25:40; James 1:27; Galatians 2:10)
“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40
