Directions

SOUTHLAND STUDENT Bible Study are a small group environment where students get to know each other, play games, and engage with the Bible under the guidance of small-group leaders or pastors.

During these times we will walk through the book of Philippians, teaching the students to read the Bible for themselves and learning how to lead a Bible study of their own.

Refreshments - NOT dinner - will be served at these gatherings.

FAQs

WHY DO YOU MEET IN A HOUSE? There are two main reasons: (1) Meeting in a house breaks down barriers and helps students feel more "at home." Bible studies are meant to feel like family. (2) Southland doesn't have a building, and any facility must be rented. So to be financially-responsible, we use the resources we have available.

WHAT STUDENTS ATTEND? Any student who wants to experience a smaller community than an Invite Night and wants to learn from God's Word is welcome to join.

WHAT SHOULD MY STUDENTS EXPECT? Students start arriving around 5:45pm. From 6-6:40pm, we hang out - play volleyball in the backyard, do crafts, play board games. From 6:40-7:15pm, we have student-led worship and large group teaching. From 7:15-8:00pm, students meet with adult leaders in small groups. Pick up is at 8pm.

WHAT ADULTS ARE THERE?  We have male and female adult leaders who lead small groups. All group leaders have current background checks and go through a screening process for safety.

DO I NEED TO CHECK IN? Yes, your students still check in as a security measure.
